Mike Steinberg has
been beating the skins forever. A well-seasoned drummer, with
a percussive style that can be implemented to the most progressive
music or a simple groove that compliments the song. Born in Toronto,
Canada he discovered his talent at the age of 12. Influenced
mostly by the thundering sounds of John Bonham of Led Zepplin,
his career began. Since 1972 he has toured across Canada playing
with some of the top artists including well known recording bands
such as Steel River, Bob Segarini, Seb Agnello of The Lords Of
London and former AC guitarist Ron Bartley of The Bartley Brothers.
Mike has been in demand by the best of them. Having studied at
the Ontario College of Percussion, he also teaches drums, writes
drum charts and records tracks in his own studio for others.
His encounter with Jimi goes back to 1976 when Jimi left the
Children to pursue a solo career. He asked Mike to help him with
some original songs that he was preparing to record for United
Artists Records. The two became great friends and would often
do sessions and perform. Jimi would eventually move to Los Angeles
but, during his time there, he would keep in touch with Mike
and keep him updated on what was happening. In 2004, due to so
many internet requests for the band, Jimi decided to reform Abraham's
Children and the first person he called was Mike. If you are

Funny man Rockin
Ray Michaels of the number one oldies station in Canada CKOC
poses for a picture with Abraham's Children. Rockin Ray loves
to have his picture taken. Jimi had to beg real hard to get a
CKOC t-shirt that he is wearing. Although he would have preferred
the one Ray is wearing...what the heck don't look at a gift horse
in the mouth Jimi. His interview with AC from the Remfest will
be added soon.

The
Hollywood gig brought out a lot of friends including drummer
extraordinaire Danny Smith.. Dan has retired but still appreciates
a good band. Mike always said that Danny was a big inspiration
to him as drummer. Dan spent many years playing with Jimi in
The Police and AC. The two spent 3 days together at Dans summer
retreat in Wasaga Beach soaking up the sun, listening to a great
collection of songs they recorded together, unwind and talk about
the good old day.

Abraham's Children
- Time - BNO 3001 This is the only album that AC would release.
This classic piece of Canadiana musical art is still as fresh
today as it was when it was originally released. It is the ultimate
bubble gum trophy. The album put out three hits "Goodbye
Farewell" "Gypsy" and "Thank You" all
these songs charted well and a couple of them went to number
one in many major markets. BNO has remastered this with the help
of Garwood Wallace in Toronto, Canada. The sound is awesome.
This remains to be a big seller and anyone that ever had the
album should definitely get this classic cd. Big strings tight
harmonies and some incredible playing. Although the band was
considered a commercial success, songs like "Workin For
The Man" "Woman O Woman" are as heavy as heavy
can be, do not underestimate the power of pop.
