Doug
grew up in the cosmopolitan and bustling
Metropolis of Toronto, an experience that inspired, if not challenged,
the determined musician. In 1974 he would join the hit making
pop band Abraham's Children. Doug's multi-dimensional sound gave
the group a new sense of beginning. The band would tour extensively,
allowing him to acclamate not only musically but spiritually
with the other members. Their growth and development resulted
in a tight bond between Jimi and Doug that can be felt today.
Doug is an artist, a craftsman, a perfectionist, a guitar player.
His skills as a producer and engineer has been a progression
of art meets music. A short stint across the Atlantic would find
Doug as the lead guitarist and principle songwriter for international
metal band "The Warriors". Doug joined the band in
Europe as a guitarist songwriter primarily, only to evolve in
producing and engineering their very powerful album "Ratnitci"for
Polygram Records Germany. The album gained tremondous success
in Asia, Europe and certain parts of the US. This would launch
Doug in the arenas of mega minstrels.. He has shared his talents
with Burton Cummings, Moxy, A Foot In Coldwater, Teenage Head
and countless others. His band BAYB would become one of the biggest
drawing acts in Toronto, with enthusiastic fans lining up early
whenever they performed. Doug continues to produce many bands
and artists. In early 2005 Doug received a phone call from Jimi
in Los Angeles. They spoke for hours and soon agreed to start
rehearsals in Toronto. Check out the RETRO pics for some kool
photos of Doug.

Very impressive! You know, all this time, especially being here
in Malaysia, I felt my music collection wasn't complete (or even
my soul) without having the song "Gypsy'. It's such a haunting
beautiful piece that I almost melted just hearing the clip. Can't
wait to get my hands on the CD. Was one of my all-time faves
growing up and it still is. Allan - Malaysia (

THAT JAZZ BASS - When Jimi first started
playing bass Ihe thought it was so kool to have a Hofner Beatle
Bass. He was the talk of the neighborhood. Jimi had people asking
him to play in their band without even knowing if he could play.
As the years went on he began to add to his collection of bass
guitars, of course he could do this now because he was a working
musician. His next bass was a Rickenbacker, one would think he
was following in the steps of Paul McCartney. Then came a Gibson.
But soon he became bored with the commercial basses that he was
so accustomed to. One day he was listening to David Clayton Thomas
's band rehearse above the Concord Tavern on Bloor Street when
he noticed that the bass player was using a real old tattered
bass. He went closer and saw it was a Fender Jazz Bass....the
bass player asked if he would like to play it.. he quickly said
yes..it was awesome. David walked in the room and asked what
the fuck this young punk was doing there..Jimi said with a nervous
sound that he was just checking out the bass. He asked him to
leave, of course in a DCT way. Jimi remained friends with Scott
the bass player and many years later had another encounter with
David. That's another story. Oh yeah he bought a Jazz Bass which
he still has to this day. |

The Black and
Red Tour. The Hollywood is one of the hottest entertainment
venues in Canada and when the word got out that AC was doing
an intimate concert , the place was sold out in no time. Fans
of all ages showed up for the show. The crowd was roaring from
the moment the band stepped on stage. The surprise of the evening
were all the celebrities that showed up, well-known actors Nick
Mancuso, Lazar, Lina Giornofelice, film producers Lili Fournier,
Alessandra Piccione and director Sergio Navaretta who's award-winning
feature film Looking For Angelina is one of the most touching
movies of 2006. There were friends of Jimi's from the old hood
of Grace Street in little Italy and fans that saw AC perform
in the past. Following the concert excited fans waited to have
their photos taken with AC band members and their cds autographed.
